Walking sticks  don't  take all that  much work and he  nearly always  has a few ready  for sale, once he finds the  right branch and  strips the bark - a face (without too much  detail) is  carved into the top.  A marvellous present for the man about the house.

Bobbins take a little longer, as the  carving is  nearly all fine work on the  small lace making accessory. Inky only makes bobbins  with simple decorative ends that  he can whittle  from the  same piece of wood.  The bobbins are all pierced so that the lace makes can add their own 'spangles' to differentiate their bobbins, as in the examples shown.  A  superb gift  for the lady of the house.

Spoons take  quite a long time to  make -  its  hard  work scooping out the bowl and  and  very unrewarding -  but plain spoons are always a good seller.  Decorative  spoons like this  go  for a few coppers more.  Every house  needs its  spoons -  decorative ones are really good  for those special occasions  when you  want your dinner service to look its best.
