Kethlow

The town is strategically placed to oversee the area between The Harkness Mountains and The Great Forest, and has developed around the original military outpost that was built for that purpose.

Kethlow is both the administrative centre and main market for the region controlled by its incumbent lord, Baron Piers deRadray, and acts as a major stop on the road between some outlaying towns and the main trade route at Falmar.  It is the second most influential town in the Duchy, after Falmar City itself and has a population of about 2000 people.

In the middle of town you will find the Baron’s castle along with the Temple, marketplace,  Good Inns and the better residential areas.  Outside those you will find the Trade Quarter, which is chocked is full of small businesses for leather workers, coopers, scribes and other ‘self employed ‘businessmen’.  Further round you will find the Business Quarter with the wine press, weaving house, Warehouses and other large scale enterprises, along with lower status residential areas.

Outside the walls there are a few more houses and a number of farms that produce the food, grapes and raw wool that the town needs.
