Warwick Castle 

Warwick castle is another Norman castle, started on a Saxon stronghold in 1068. the original buildings were of wood, but were soon replaced by a stone shell keep and curtain wall.
It was also developed and by the fourteenth century had a hugely impressive exterior. 
The view along the side of the River Avon is also impressive.  these building contain a number of displays - one showing the state rooms, another covering  Richard Neville (known as the kingmaker), and a third showing Victorian high life in the castle.  there is  also and interesting dungeon and torture display  as well as a nice, if small, armoury.
We had fun in the gardens, and Jhael managed to feed the peacocks.
Later I tried to get her to try the rack for size, but she declined  .....
