Stratford-upon-Avon

As we crossed the Avon on a footbridge leading from the car park to the town center, we saw the swans. Seemed like thousands of them. Jhael thought it  strange  -  swans in Australia  are  smaller than our  swans and, of course, they are black rather than white.

This is the Guilds' chapel,
and a 17th Century house,
and some Alms Houses.
This just shows the absolute beauty of the River Avon. You can see the spire of the church where Shakespeare is buried in the distance.
